In this paper, we investigate two dimensionally reduced cases of a new (3+1)-dimensional generalised Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation. With symbolic computation, lump solutions are derived via searching for positive quadratic function solutions to the associated bilinear equations. Localised characteristics and lump motion are analysed and illustrated as well.
