New insights into our understanding of the semirelativistic excitation of atomic hydrogen by electronic impact have been made possible by combining the use of polarized electron beams and intense laser field. The paper reviews relativistic theoretical treatment in laser-assisted electron scattering with particular emphasis upon spin effects. Different spin configurations for inelastic electron-atom collisions is also discussed. The role of laser field in such collision is of major importance and reveals new information on the dynamics of the collision process. The examined modern theoretical investigations of such relativistic laser-assisted collisions have shown that the need for experimental data is of a paramount importance in order to assess the accuracy of our calculations.

The photodetachment of $H^-$ near a surface is investigated. A laser polarized parallel to the surface is used for the detachment of the electron. Analytical expressions for the detached-electron flux and total photodetachment cross section are derived. The detached electron flux displays strong interference pattern on the screen. Unlike the detached electron flux no visible oscillations are found in the photodetachment cross section. The photodetachment cross section in low energy limits is double of the cross section of $H^-$ in free space.

The spatial resolved emission spectrum of Ni atom in laser induced Ni plasma is measured in the wavelength region from 350nm to 600nm. The spatial evolution of the relative intensities and the Stark broadening of the 385.83nm emission spectrum lines are also obtained. It is shown that Stark broadening and intensity of the spectrum lines increases firstly to its maximum and then decreases along the direction of laser beam when the distance from the target surface is in the range from 0 to 2.5 mm. The maximum value of Stark broadening and relative intensity of the spectrum lines appear at 1.5 mm from the target surface.

The vector correlations between products and reagents for the reactions $H+CH→ H_2+C(^1D)$ at different collision energy have been studied by using the quasi-classical trajectories (QCT) on an ab initio potential energy surface of $1A'$ symmetry. Four polarization-dependent generalized differential cross-sections (PDDCSs) have been calculated in center-of-mass (CM) frame. The distribution $P(θ_r)$ of the angle between $k$ and $j',$ the distribution $P(\phi_r)$ of dihedral angle denoting $k-k'-j'$ correlation in the form of polar plots are calculated as well. The effect of deep well in potential surface and differ collision energies on the alignment and the orientation of product molecule $H_2$ rotational angular momentum vectors $j'$ is revealed.

The structure and electronic properties of bare and hydrogenated metal $(M=Al,Li,Na,K)$ embedded $Al_{12}$ cage clusters have been investigated systematically by density functional theory calculations. It has been found that the most stable $Al_{12}H_{12}$ and $MAl_{12}H_{12}$ clusters possess icosahedral symmetry. The stability analysis shows that hydrogenation of clusters enhances the stability of aluminum clusters, and $LiAl_{12}H_{12}$ is the most stable of all clusters considered. Mulliken population analysis indicates that significant charge transfer occurs between alkali atoms and $Al$ atoms. The higher electron density on the $H$ atoms in relation to the deformation electron density shows that electron is partially transferred from $Al$ atoms to hydrogen upon adsorption.

The properties of the effective mass of polaron in semiconductor quantum dots by influence of Rashba spin-orbit (SO) interaction are studied. The relations of the strength of confinement $ω_0,$ the interaction energy and the effective mass of the polaron in the electron-LO phonon strong coupling region in a parabolic quantum dot on the vibration frequency is derived by using improved liner combination operator method. Numerical calculations for RbCl crystal are performed and the results show that the Rashba SO interaction makes the ground state energy and the effective mass of polaron split into two branches; the ground splitting energy and the effective mass will increase with the vibration frequency increasing. Whereas the interaction energy is sharply increased until the confinement strength reaches a certain value, then it will sharply decrease.

By using the methods of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the relativistic effects of the thermodynamic properties of Fermi gas in a strong magnetic field are studied, and the influential mechanisms of temperatures and the magnetic field on the relativistic effects of the system are analyzed. It is shown that, at low temperatures, the effects of temperatures on the relativistic effect relate to the chemical potential of the free system. The magnetic field's effects on the relativistic effects of heat capacity and chemical potential display oscillating characteristics. At high temperatures, the relativistic effects of the thermodynamic quantities trigger oscillations with increasing of temperatures and magnetic field, and its amplitude decreases obviously to disappearing with the increasing of temperatures. However, its amplitude increases evidently due to the amplified magnetic field.

High-order quantum correlation provides powerful methods to reveal the quantum many-body behavior of ultracold atomic gases. In this work, the second-order quantum correlation is adopted to study the many-body behavior of ultracold Bose gases in the presence of both a two-dimensional optical lattice and weak disorder. According to investigations, it is found that even a weak disorder plays a significant role in the quantum many-body behavior, which manifests itself through the second-order quantum correlation. With the Bogoliubov theory, our studies show that both interatomic interactions and weak disorder would destroy the first-order quantum coherence of the condensate because of the depletion, and the resulting depletion has significant characteristic in the second-order correlation of the system.  

Using the first-principle method within the generalized gradient approximation, this paper studies the bands structure, structural parameters, and state densities of wide-gap semiconductor material $CuYO_2.$ The calculated results show that, the valence band of $CuYO_2$ mainly compose of $3d$ of $Cu,$ and $2p$ of $O;$ while the conduction band mainly compose of $3d$ of $Y.$ Through the $+U$ correction, with the increasing of the value of $U,$ the conduction band and valence band of $CuYO_2$ become split, the peak of $3d$ of $Y$ move towards high energy area, which induce to the enlarge of conduction band area and band gap; in addition, the minimum of conduction band is transfer $L$ point into $\Gamma$ point when the value of $U$ is 2eV, which show $+U$ method mainly correct the conduction band of $CuYO_2$ so that improve the calculated value of band gap.

We study the ground and the first excited states energies and the transition frequency between the first excited- and the ground-state of strong-coupling polaron in an anisotropic quantum dot. The effects of the electron-phonon coupling strength and the transverse and the longitudinal effective confinement lengths are taken into consideration by using variational method of the Pekar type. It is found that the transition frequency is an increasing function of the electron-phonon coupling strength, whereas the state energies are decreasing one of it. They will increase rapidly with decreasing transverse and longitudinal effective confinement lengths.

In present study an accurate ab initio potential energy curve of $CH(X^2\Pi)$ has been determined at the complete basis set limit. The core-valence corrections and relativistic corrections including scalar relativity and spin-orbit coupling are determined. The vibrational and rotational levels are calculated based on fitted potential energy curve. Total 19 vibrational levels are found for $^{13}CH$ ground state, and comparing with available experimental data, the deviation is less than 15 $cm^{-1}.$ The dissociation energy is calculated within 50 $cm^{-1}$ of the experimental value 29358 $cm^{-1}.$ The $A^2Δ$ - $X^2\Pi$ electric transition dipole moment function is calculated, and the high-temperature fluorescence spectra arising from $A^2Δ$ - $X^2\Pi$  transition are simulated.
