In this paper, we discuss the regularity of the weak solutions and the existence of the classical solutions for Monge-Ampère equations on the bounded convex domains possessing uniform parabolic support. This paper improves the conclusion of [1].

We will investigate the point spectrum on the imaginary axis of the linearized Boltzmann operator with an external-force potential in a bounded domain whose boundary is sufficiently smooth. The boundary condition considered is the perfectly reflective boundary condition. The point spectrum on the imaginary axis is only equal to {0}. However, the null space varies with the common axes of symmetry of the domain and the external-force potential.

We consider a Stefan problem with the curvature correction in a concentrated capacity. It is a kind of phase transition problems, in which the unknown temperature satisfies both the Stefan condition and the curvature correction on the free boundary, and also fulfills a kind of heat equations with special inner heat source. The inner beat source is related to the derivative of the temperature with respect to the direction vertical to the phase regions. The result established in this paper is the existence of a global weak solution of this problem.

In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem \frac{∂u}{∂t} = Δφ(u) in R^N × (0, T] u(x,0} = u_0(x) in R^N where φ ∈ C[0,∞) ∩ C¹(0,∞), φ(0 ) = 0 and (1 - \frac{2}{N})^+ < a ≤ \frac{φ'(s)s}{φ(s)} ≤ m for some a ∈ ((1 - \frac{2}{n})^+, 1), s > 0. The initial value u_0 (z) satisfies u_0(x) ≥ 0 and u_0(x) ∈ L¹_{loc}(R^N). We prove that, under some further conditions, there exists a weak solution u for the above problem, and moreover u ∈ C^{α, \frac{α}{2}}_{x,t_{loc}} (R^N × (0, T]) for some α > 0.

In this paper, we apply the technique of weakly nonlinear geometric optics to study weakly nonlinear oscillatory waves with multi-phases in d-dimensional ideal incompressible fluid for d ≥ 2. Precisely, we give a rigorous asymptotic expansion for the solution of the oscillatory initial value problem to the ideal incompressible Euler equations. Generally, this problem is not well posed. However, the coherence assumption and small divisor property imposed on the phases functions lead to a compatibility condition for the solvability of profile equations from which we can determine every profile.

In this paper we consider the Stefan problem with surface tension and kinetic undercooling effects, that is with the temperature u satisfying the condition u = -σK - εV_n on the interface Γ_t, σ, ε = const. ≥ 0 where K and V_n are the mean curvature and the normal velocity of Γ_t, respectively. In any of the following situations: (1) σ > 0 fixed, ε > 0, (2) σ = ε → 0; (3) σ → 0, ε = 0, we shall prove the convergence of the corresponding local (in time) classical solution of the Stefan problem.

The aim of this paper is to discuss the extinction and positivity for the non-Newtonian polytropic filtration equation \frac{∂u}{∂t} = \frac{∂}{∂x}(|\frac{∂u^m}{∂x}|^{p-2}\frac{∂u^m}{∂x}) with m > 0, p > 1.

The existence and nonexistence of interfaces of weak solutions for nonlinear degenerate parabolic systems \frac{∂u_i}{∂t} - div (|∇u|^{p-2}∇u_i) = 0, i = 1, 2, …, m with p > 1 are studied in this paper.

We investigate the properties of the interface of the solution for a doubly nonlinear degenerate parabolic equation and show that the interface is nondecreasing and Lipschitz continuous.
